Broadband Internet Service

Broadband Internet service is another term for a high-speed Internet connection. With Broadband Internet service, your computers are connected to the Internet through a state-of-the-art fiber optic network instead of your telephone line.

A Broadband connection is up to 50 times faster than a dialup modem connection(which works with your phone line) because several channels of data can be transmitted at once. Web pages will load faster, downloading files will take less time, and audio, video and multiplayer games will seem ultra-clear.

Today, most MDU residents connect to the Internet through dial-up connections, which peak at 56 Kbps. While enough to send simple e-mail, these links are good for little else. Access is cumbersome, yielding very slow downloads and not to mention all the busy signals and disconnects. In short, dialup has failed to meet virtually any of the requirements needed today by demanding tenants. These requirements include:
